2027 Ford F-150: Price, Review, Photos and Specs – Read This Before You Buy Driving

What is it?

The 2027 Ford F-150 is a half-ton pickup truck that comes in three body configurations: a five-seat Regular Cab, a six-seat SuperCab, and a three-seat SuperCrew. It runs on gasoline and offers a range of power outputs from 325 horsepower to 450 horsepower, depending on the trim level. The Platinum 4×4 SuperCrew with a 157-inch wheelbase earns the highest overall rating of 3.38 out of five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Trim levels begin with the XL Regular Cab at $53,690, while the top-of-the-line Raptor 4×4 SuperCrew reaches $111,375. Freight and destination charges add $2,695 to the base price. The F-150 is available in 26 different trims, covering a price spread from just under $54,000 to more than $111,000 before taxes and fees. Buyers can choose between two wheelbases, 141.5 inches and 157 inches, and four-wheel drive is available across most of the lineup.

Engine and Performance

Power comes from a standard 3.0-liter V-6 gasoline engine. This unit produces 325 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and generates 400 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 rpm. It pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and sends power to the rear wheels by default, though four-wheel drive is an option on higher trims. The truck has a curb weight of 4,123 pounds.

Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, a blind-spot monitor, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, roll stability control, and hill start assist. The NHTSA test results show a five-star frontal crash rating, a five-star side-impact rating, and a four-star rollover rating. Air conditioning, power windows, and power locks are standard on all trims.

This powertrain setup aligns with recent trends in the full-size truck segment, where manufacturers have largely consolidated around turbocharged V-6 engines rather than expanding the range of larger displacement V-8 options. The focus on torque figures and towing capacity remains central to the marketing of these vehicles, even as buyers increasingly demand efficiency and advanced driver-assist features.

Cloth seats are standard throughout the lineup.

Front and rear tracks measure 67.9 inches and 68.3 inches respectively. The curb weight is 4,123 pounds. Overall width is 79.9 inches.

Standard lighting includes LED headlights with complex surface lenses. A standard rearview mirror offers auto-dimming. The truck comes with 17-inch steel wheels. These wheels wear All-season tires sized 245/70T17. A full-size spare wheel is standard.

The pickup bed has a length of 97.6 inches. It measures 50.6 inches between the wheelhouses. The bed height is 21.4 inches. The loading floor stands 33.9 inches off the ground. A standard trailer hitch is available. Trailer towing preparation is also standard. The truck includes a Trailer Stability Program. This system helps maintain control while towing.
