The Monochrome trim is available in two distinct variants: Basic and Upper.

Hyundai Motor Company has introduced a new blacked-out Monochrome trim option for the 2027 Elantra N sport sedan. The automaker made this announcement in mid-October, specifying that the model will initially launch in Korea, Canada, and Australia, with plans to expand to other markets in the near future. Adding to its range, the Elantra N Monochrome brings a slick look to an already distinctive car.

The Monochrome trim is available in two distinct variants: Basic and Upper. The Basic version features a dark aesthetic with Alcantara materials throughout the cabin, providing a premium touch while maintaining the aggressive exterior design. In contrast, the Upper trim raises the visual appeal by incorporating carbon-fiber elements on the rear spoiler and side mirrors, further emphasizing the sports-focused character of the model. Both trims include newly designed wheels, an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel exclusive to this model, and updated details on the front and rear bumpers as well as the brake calipers, which now feature a more aggressive design.

Two paint colors are available for the Monochrome trim: Abyss Black Pearl and Performance Blue. The latter is a signature shade shared with other models in the N lineup, reinforcing brand consistency. Given the marketing focus on form over color, most units are expected to feature Abyss Black Pearl, a deep and glossy black finish that complements the blacked-out aesthetic. Hyundai has stated that both colors will be subject to market availability, ensuring flexibility for different regional preferences.

The model will debut in its home market in late October, with further market-specific details to follow. Hyundai has noted that specifications may vary by region, which could potentially include minor performance adjustments such as a turbocharger tuning update or software modifications to optimize engine performance. Total production volumes and pricing details are expected to differ across various markets and will be formally announced later this year, allowing potential buyers to plan accordingly.
